It's there, waiting for me to press the download button. But I'm in a quandary. I detest 8.1, currently on my laptop, but have read stuff about 10 that makes me wary.
Has anyone taken the plunge yet and what do you think?

I hated windows 8 and l am much happier now l have 10.
worked for a day then "broke" my laptop, Asus specialist advised to take it back to the shop to reinstall windows 8, then wait a few month until all the issues with 10 are sorted, I know only one person for whom it hasn't been a problem.
I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, its free. The upgrade takes a bit of time but worked fine which was surprising given that I had stupidly left the upgrade installing while the laptop was running on the battery which ran out half way through!
Haven't had any issues so far, all my existing applications still work. Windows 10 makes Edge the default browser though it doesn't uninstall IE - and doesn't automatically import your favourites to Edge either. Didn't take too long to do that myself and probably makes sense not to as you could have different favourites in different browsers.
Windows 10 has a new mail client called Mail, haven't plucked up the courage to start migrating my mail archives from Live Mail yet.
I like the new Start menu navigation - very intuitive (although I'm already familiar with it from using Windows Phone 8).
Generally so far it's not a massive change from Windows 7 buts adds some of the nicer bits from Windows 8. I'm looking forward to playing with Cortana (Microsoft's speech recognition "personal assistant", similar to Apple's Siri I think).
