Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A tree is being removed from outside 187 Wightman Road (just opposite Hewitt Road)

The Council tree officer told Harringay Online:

The tree has a significant lean and is top heavy, pruning would not alleviate the issue and we are unable to straighten the tree.  The location will go onto the tree replacement programme

The works will be undertaken shortly.

They should cut a few trees on Beresford Road which are dangerous.

The Council's tree service team seem sympathetic to anyone who cares about their own trees - if you have a preference for which type replaces it, then I urge you to provide specific input.

On a lighter note, maybe once the replacement is in, graft it yourself? This one the grafter calls 'Forty Fruits' after the varieties of fruit it contains:

Forty Hall have some local expertise, maybe contact them?

It looks as if a couple of huge trees on Wightman opposite the Greek church are for the chop too.
