Old Haringey favourites of mine include: "Please bare with me".
And the ecclesiastical roadsigns which cautioned: "Changed Priorites".

On of my favourites from a job CV stated the candidate was 'born and bread' in the area .

Don't forget the "vote for only ONE candidate" sent to postal voters (including me) before the election

I once let “pigs and troughs” rather than “peaks and troughs” slip through in a report I wrote.  I my defence it was back in the days of audio typing
