ULEZ
The TFL check your ULEZ conformity site has ( predictably ) crashed. The Dartford crossing payment site has still not been fixed. The Woolwich Ferry is out of action as usual. You wouldn't want to try to fly anywhere.
Can't we get anything right ?

ULEZ—on the Public Health front, there appears to be some good results:

Mayor of London Khan drove the ULEZ forward, against conservative opinion in all Parties— including his own—and not least, the Conservatives. For years our local conservative-Labour Administration would only wring their hands over air-pollution.
Sadiq Khan led on this, deserves credit and has been rewarded in the best possible way. His leadership on this issue made a difference.
The next step is to try harder to squeeze out more burning of fossil-fuel from built-up urban areas.
Perhaps the new local Administration will act to bear down further on traffic pollution, as well as the charcoal-burning in businesses along Green Lanes.
If the council's departments were not so separate and siloed, we'd see a bigger role for the Director of …
