Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This Sunday TFP are holding their first informal gathering in the cafe in the park. They  plan to hold a similar event on alternate Sundays.

This week's meeting will focus on how to .... take hardwood cuttings, with Jo Homan from Edible Landscapes London and the plant nursery in the park.

Recent blog about this is here and a film about the project here:

Hello,

I will try to come along. I have arranged to collect some compost to bring to FP from Alexandra park, but should be able to come to meet the group. I went to Green Lanes Station and met with Sharma who told me he would be interested to get our support to re make a fruit and veg display site at the station. He said Network Rail are up for it too. Jeremie told me that  I could take a quarter ton of compost from Green routes too, so if anyone has a key, I can do that too on Sunday morning. It is going to the site at the FP station end of the park. Can any TTFP members who were involved in growing at GL station please message me or speak to Sharma at the station. Hopefully most of the strenuous landscaping work can be done before the winter chill sets in! Lets Go Lets Grow want to bring fruit and veg growing right to the "  high street " in 2011 - 2012 and the station site seems an ideal place to do this as lots of people will walk along the path in front of the site as they take the train.

See you on Sunday.

Mike (projects launch director, Lets Go Lets Grow)
