Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Today's treat from Harringay's High Street: Gozleme from Niyazi Usta

If only someone can invent an app that can capture smells, then I'd be able to convey the deliciousness of the smell as you enter Niyazi Usta.

We popped in for some gozleme for tea, made by the lady who sits in the window and makes gozleme after gozleme.

My carnivore children opted for lamb but there are veggie options. These gozleme are lovely. Good lamb filling, light dough and beautifully cooked. Recommended.

Of course, I couldn't get my sweet-toothed boy out of the shop without buying a little something extra. This sweet made of pistachio (they did tell me the name but I'm getting to the age where if I don't write it down...) was excellent and left a proper 'yum yum after taste' (you know what I mean).

Pay them a visit soon. They're by the bus stop at the bottom of Mattison Road.

We went there last night, on the basis of this post (having always meant to get around to popping in, but never quite getting there!)

It was every bit as delicious as Liz said.  We shared five gozleme between four of us, and particularly enjoyed the cheese one and the lamb one - it was plenty of food for four hungry folk.  We also had a mixed plate of baklava for dessert and with drinks the total bill was on the verge of being ridiculously reasonably priced - it is exceptional value for money.  We'll definitely be going back!

That's great! We'll also be going back to try some of the others. A veggie friend of mine recommends the spinach.

They'd sold out of spinach yesterday, so they must be good!
