Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This may be a question to an echo chamber, but if you have any tips for travel survival during the tube strike, please do share.

I tried to take the 259 to King's Cross at 6:30 this morning and couldn't get on. So I took the 279 to manor house and walked to Finsbury Park. Got on the 07:04 to King's Cross and got to my work event at Kings Place on time. Tonight the Victoria line from King's cross to 7 sisters was working fine, actually less busy than most nights. Tomorrow I will skip the buses and attempt the train from Harringay.
Oh btw this morning the trains to moorgate were all diverted to King's Cross, at least around 7.

Working in Farringdon at the moment - I just walked/jogged in. One hour. Easy.

Coming back, bus to Finsbury Park, then changed to a 259. That last ten minutes was the least fun as it was so busy. But oddly the buses in Central London were mostly OK.

I suspect that, like minicabs, they're not allowed to ply for hire.

There were a lot of old routemasters out last night. Boris was throwing everything he could at it.

Some of them with 'proper' destination blinds (well, mockups I think) saying '29', 'Holloway (Nags Head)' and 'Trafalgar Square'.  Quite like old times!

And (though not locally) at least one of the Routemaster's predecessor (the RT), which would qualify for its own buspass on grounds of age.....

Overground trains from Hornsey seem to be running ok but packed.  Only had a 10 minute delay each day on the usual journey to Farringdon - not bad

I walked to Seven Sisters and, as it was the first stop on the Victoria Line, the trains were pretty empty.

They were also running extra 29 buses from Warren St
