This is a real worry. Boris and Ken before him pledged to have more stations staffed, not fewer, as a result of a very good campaign started by the Evening Standard. Having the office open really does make me feel safer as there is someone around who can contact the Police if things look dodgy.
Also, does that mean that the wonderful Gabriel, who is often on the early morning shift and a real ray of sunshine in the morning, will lose his job or have his hours reduced?
I didn't know that the station master was called Gabriel but I'm sure its the same person. I think he's lovely and I think he should get some recognition for a great service, not only is he cheerful, polite, and efficient, but he also remembers which station I am going to without being told and always has a pleasant word to start the day with.
I really hope that that he won't be affected by any cuts.
