Thanks for that Geoff. Of course you're more than welcome to take all comments back to GLSG. You know that HoL was one of the groups calling for the festival in the first place, were part of the organising group in the initial stages and continued to be great supporters.

I for one look forward to its continued success building on the great work carried out this year.

There were a couple of reasons why the HoL Group didn't have a stall - one related to cost and the other to whether it would work having a website hosting a stall. With regard to the latter, I must say that stalls like the GRA's show some imaginative ways that this can be done.

I and I'm sure many others will be delighted to be part of an "increased co-operation between the various community elements and a second, better festival". As I said from the beginning of this project, that's what the festival should really be all about; that's the whole ethos that has underpinned HoL from its inception.
Hi Geoff, its useful to have that kind of info. it would be great if you could feed this back into GLSG. One thing is loud and clear...we want to do this again!

(I may regret saying this, but) We have a lot of lovely postive comments to share and in the other thread lots of good suggestions for next year and I was planning to pull some of these comments and ideas together into something a bit more focussed to present to the organisers. I was thinking it might be nice if I were to have an informal meet with the festival folk to do it.
What do you think?
As a resident of Burgoyne Road I would object strongly to the stage being moved any further back up the road and would campaign to stop this. Keep the festival on Green Lanes - if you want more room site it at either end of Green Lanes.
Problem with stages across Green Lanes rather than side on would be decent access for emergency vehicles. I agree that having them further up the side streets would make life pretty difficult for people living there. So what about a split - one across the very bottom of Burgoyne and one smaller one across the bottom of Warham (for accoustic groups perhaps?)
Hi Liz,

More than happy for you to collate the comments from the multiple threads, if you are offering!

I think it would be useful to get those involved this year together again, I'll check with Dasos whether there is to be an official 'de-brief' meeting and see what his reaction is.

Geoff
Yes I am offering to bring this altogether and to attend a debrief with what people have said. I'd rather do it in person than via email or even phone. I'd be happy just to meet up with Dasos over a coffee in the first instance.

I was giving him some breathing space as I figure he would probably appreciate some downtime before getting his head around the next one.
we had a brilliant time!!
Just to let you know that all your feedback and suggestions were collated and passed onto Dasos, the neighbourhood manager, in a productive informal meeting this morning (Tuesday 13th).
I passed on the appreciation of residents for his hard work and that of his team. He thanked residents for the feedback and wants to let you know that it will all be fed into the planning for the next one...when the decision is made on if and when the next one takes place.
