Great event.
Very enjoyable! I'm looking forward to trying the Thai fish sauce I bought at one of the stalls! :-)

Harringay Festival 2010 here we come!
Was great.
It really seemed to be a huge, huge success. Surely the momentum to make this an annual event will now be irrisitible.
A great event. It was wonderful to be aboe to walk down the middle of the road. Thanks to everyone who made it happen and lets do it evrey year.
A really excellent New Labour start to the 2010 Local and National Elections on that wonderful stage at the end of Burgoyne Road. True, two opposition councillors did have a walk-on non-speaking cameo role in the slightly shambolic introductory act, but just as extras for contrast purposes. The smile on Nilgun's face said it all. Missed Brian, though. I heard he was off officially opening a new out-of-borough landfill site.

A really enjoyable six hours or so, though I missed the All-Ireland Football Final on the big screen to attend. (I think I deserve a medal.)
They said it was impossible, said Nilgun, Shefek and David L., without specifying who 'they' were.

'They' also said a 20mph Limit was impossible on Wightman Road, didn't they? Today, certainly between 5 and 6pm we became a 0 - 5mph Zone with no bother at all. Let's permanently pedestrianise Grand Parade and have civilised gridlock on Wightman Road - nirvana.

So all local New Labour councillors, wannabe councillors and MPs want to have the Festival repeated next year. That's what they said, so naturally we all applauded their sentiments. Am I alone in guessing that 'next year' may come in September 2013 ?
Does the Festival have to be politicised? I'm not sure people were there to be canvassed!
No it doesn't. No we weren't.
A really excellent New Labour start – You know I haven't heard the term "New Labour" used for a while now. Maybe it's because Labour now isn't so new. I wonder how a New Labour Harringay Food Festival differs from a regular Labour Harringay Food Festival?! I enjoyed it with or without the politics ...

.
I think this is too cynical .. the sun shined, it was eid al-fitr (which could have been a day later...) - even my other half said he loved it because behind it all the residents associations and traders made it work their way and ... 20 mph on Wightman Rd is possible.
Very enjoyable, particularly all the fantastic live music on the stage. Well done to Nora for pulling all that together.

Looking forward to this as an annual event and next time hopefully seeing some of the stalls used a little more inventively for things other piles of restaurant leaflets and stacks of coke cans! Would also be good to see the restaurants bringing chairs and tables out onto the road.

Noticed that Muna's and Carribean food stalls did particularly well.
