They know everything about me :-(

I'm getting very fed up with the way all the commercial sites are linked up.

If I log in to Outlook mail, my contacts on Skype can see that I'm on line. I love them all dearly, but I don't always want to talk to them yet they get upset if I don't.

If I buy something from eBay, I get related follow-up suggestions in my BT mail.

I recently bought a depilatory wax heater from Amazon ( for a friend, I might add ) and now I'm bombarded by wax ads on Facebook. How many depilatory wax heaters do they think I need ffs ???

get Adblock, it reduces it. And I've switched to Thunderbird for email. Not as whizzy as Outlook but at least it works, which my outlook 97 (?) stopped doing.

Indeed, as Fr Martin Luther OSA was wont to remark, "If I fart in Wittenberg, they smell it in Rome." Not sure whether they bombarded him thereafter with bargain relics to cure his flatulence.
