The SUN, first published in 1969 under the new ownership of Murdoch, is well known for some classic headlines. Do you know these famous ones?: take the quizz.

Actually, its only 40 years since dear Rupert took it over.
In fact it launched as the Sun in 1964 on the 15th September.
If only it had stayed The Daily Herald as "a strike sheet for the London printing unions, then involved in an industrial dispute, to support their pleas for improved pay and conditions" before formalising its activity as a regular, daily newspaper from April 15th 1912, eh?
Talking of swedes, I increased my Swedish vocabulary by at least one third over the half-term break, my first invasion of Ikeavikingland. (Respect to all Swedish HOLliers.)
Making my way along Stockholm's Valhallavagen (there's a little umlaut thing missing from that fourth 'a') I was intrigued by several signs saying 'Farthinder' at the entrance to some side streets.
Seemed like a recipe for trapped wind, but next day every little road through the communes of Taby(supply your own umlaut) and Enebyberg provided further practice in my new word hoard. 'Farthinder 400m' finally clicked. What a gem of a word for our 'sinusoidal traffic calming devices' beloved of Ladder Folk. Much less suggestive than 'Humps for 500 yards', don't you think?
A language down-to-earth-enough for Farthinder or that calls a hospital a sjuk hus (more umlaut thingies) = sick house, is worth learning. Even if those leggy blondes aren't as ubiquitous as I was led to expect.

Fart hinder it is then! (One every 80 yards). Not sure The SUN would welcome a new dawn, especially foreign. We are on an island you know. Glad you made it over to Sweden. Not been although have been to Norway. Now, they know how to run a country.
