I have never cared for The Mall in its various incarnations. Loved Wilko but the BandM replacement is not a patch on it, just cheap and trashy. The NHS clinic is a good facility to have but I ignore all the chain stores which are overpriced. There's a just about bearable workmen's type cafe. The Market Hall is the only place I like (though sadly the haberdashers have gone) I like the Chinese supermarket which has a good range of sauces etc. The Greengrocer is pretty decent and there's a substantial busy butcher's at the back..

I used the NHS diagnostic centre for an X Ray a couple of weeks ago. It was walk in, I waited no more than five minutes to be seen and the staff were brilliant. Highly recommended and it saves a trek to the Whit or the North Mid.
