Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Lots of creative kids (and their parents) gathered in Fairland Park in the warm October sunshine to draw, doodle, cut and stick pictures of their families and their favourite places in Harringay and its environs.

Leaves for the Fairland Family Tree were decorated and tied onto a tree by the playground.

We also created a giant map of all our favourite and important places in Harringay. These were our choices.

Kids also created pavement art on the paths around the park

It was a throughly enjoyable activity. Many thanks to Anna for organising it and to all the kids and their parents for coming along and making it such a great success.

Thanks to everyone who came along to take part in Fairland Park Big Draw today.  Lovely to see so many people enjoying the park on a sunny October day.  It seems we have many amazing artists living in Harringay   Thank you to Ness, Alex, Sarah, Mum, Russ and Adam for supporting.  Best wishes, Anna (Woody)

Thanks ever so much to Anna for this - what a fantastic day.

I particularly loved the giant map, which Anna said she made by projecting a map on to a massive piece of paper taped to the wall and tracing the roads. It looked fantastic. I took photos but they aren't as good as ones here!
Give these kids the job of producing the Green Lanes master plan. Wonderful stuff.

yes, thanks very much to the organisers; my daughter had lots of fun, as did the adults (who took great pride in our version of the Salisbury!)
