Thank you to all the children, teachers and parents that visited Railway Fields this year

The end of the school year is almost here, which means, for us Volunteer Education Officers, the last of the school visits to our two sites until September (beginning a little later for The Paddock). 

I just wanted to say thank you to all the children, teachers, and parents from across the borough who visited Railway Fields and the Paddock in Tottenham this year.

As a volunteer Education Officer with TCV, I've enjoyed spending time with all the visitors, young and young at heart, that have come to work with us. We've had a lot of fun, seen lots of birds and mini-beasts and learned about urban nature. 

Railway Fields will be open from 9am - 5pm for visiting during the school holidays. As well as a natural place to explore, there are swings and a mud kitchen (currently a little understocked) and benches to bring your lunch. Toilets are at Sainsbury's in the Arena. 

Look out too for the Summer Holiday Activities happening on Mondays and Tuesdays. Follow TCV on Eventbrite to find out what is happening and when, or look for the posters on site.

The Friends of Railway Fields will also be opening the site this Saturday from 10am - 2pm (last entry at 1.45)

The programme of school visits to Railway Fields begins again in September.

Look out too for some very exciting developments at The Paddock (currently closed due to major works) which will make educational visits there even more exciting; new paths, dipping platform at a pond, bird watching screens as well as the beautiful wildflower meadow and better facilities for visiting classes. Can't wait, its going to be great to work there!
