Sneak Preview of Tramp's Amazing Menu
I've just been down at Tramp, helping owner Haldun, manager Andre and Chef Tushar with a wine tashting (hic). I'm not sure how much help I was with that, but was glad to get an update on progress as I haven't seen Haldun since the photoshoot a few weeks back.
They shared the first draft menu. Let's not put too fine a point on it - it looks amazing. With Haldun's permission, I'm sharing below a sample of the starters/sharing plates. I can't wait!
- Persian spiced Green pea and spinach cubes with garlic yoghurt
- Tomato EVO oil and basil on turmeric and fenugreek leaves bread
- Padron peppers
- Earth, Truffle and baby green soup
- Marinated cauliflower kimchi yoghurt and black sesame
- Selected wild mushroom croquettes with chorizo and kumquat mayo
- Radish carpaccio clementine, Himalayan salt, wasabi and selected herbs
- Octopus, curry leaves, chilli coconut milk, ginger and wakame
Does that look promising or what!

It's called cafe / restaurant and they already have a fully cocktail trained barman in place, but my understanding is that it will be more restaurant than bar or cafe.
Their Twitter bio says:
Lively neighbourhood restaurant serving fresh, locally-sourced food along with a stunning selection of wines. OPENING SOON for Brunch and Dinner.

that looks like a blindingly good and original menu. And the decor seems pretty decent.
Glad for those who have been working so hard they are close to opening, and glad for the area.
