I get that government cuts have had a devastating. I recognise there are individuals that go above and beyond. But in my experience there’s a jobsworth attitude that is often displayed by council staff. A lack of dynamism and tolerance of under performance. We also have a Labour group that seems to slavishly champion ideology rather than results.
is this child’s death the manifestation of that pervasive attitude?

This is so incredibly sad and speculation in any way at this point is unhelpful and unnecessary.
Without refererring to the specific arguments made subsequently or by the initiator of this discussion I was compelled to post here by the use of the daily mail as source material. Raising public awareness of how the national press operate and what their true purpose is , I would argue, vital and crucial in improving public discourse and thereby creating better communities and a better country in which we all have a stake in and live better lives.
