Oh look whats in the same publication, as linked above by Comrade Hinchliffe. Hypocritical, just slightly. And they want to SUPPORT THE MOTORIST, perhaps because if you need a big family car you wont want to ride buses with the hoi polloi.
Really Justin this is below even your level of politics.

That's a particularly silly comment, Pamish -- and all tied up with your extremely silly prejudices about Conservatives being posh. The orthodox Jews in Seven Sisters certainly do have big family cars. If you had a crumb of common sense you might notice that it's nothing to do with not wishing to have to share busses with the 'hoi polloi' -- just a wish to get from A to B with their enormous families -- many of which often include, other than children, various types of dependent relatives (because members of that community really do understand the concept of 'family' and looking after their relatives, however loosely that term is defined).
You would also notice that most of the super-religious in Seven Sisters live their lives in very straitened circumstances. How do you have the nerve and ignorance to refer to these people as snobs?

Lydia is totally correct: try getting on the 243 bus with 6 kids. As I said, Charedi families tend to be quite large. In terms of wealth, most households struggle to get by and many rely on Jewish charities for food and support. This "Jews" are rich line (one used by Livingstone) is not only wrong but dangerous.

Yes, I support loft extensions, Pam. Charedi families tend to be quite large, so they need the extra space--it's as simple as that. Not as if they live in a conservation area, either. The things that bugs me is that Kober and Goldberg think the South Tottenham kehilla is bought and paid for; that nobody should dare to vote for any other party other than Labour. And some members of the community, who despise Socialism, feel that they have to vote Labour as a 'thank you' (or hakoras hatov). Those brave souls who have voted for me and my colleagues tend to keep quiet about it. Harare? No, welcome to Haringey.

Thanks for this Tris, it is good to see people questioning claims. I am not a member of any political party but generally vote Labour/ Green. In their defence, only labour have come to canvass me for my vote and discussed my concerns. The Conservatives just put numerous pamphlets through my letter box. I could not vote for the Conservatives as my fears regarding their lack of humanity, determination to demonise the poor for societies problems, their attack on education and general desire to make policy without backing decisions up with decent research which have been realised since the last general election mean they will never be a serious option for me Justin.

Let’s hear it for Conservativeless Haringey Council who always back up their decisions with decent research! We have a long list of well-researched projects in this bastion of socialism: Wood Green shopping city planning, speculation in the Icelandic bank, attempts to sell off Alexandra Palace as a casino, local needs in Wards Corner, traffic management around Green Lanes, to name but a few. The research they did on that stuff was outstanding, while that Conservative lot in Barnet — well, they just can’t get ANYTHING right, can they? Maybe Labour councillors do slip up occasionally in the “humanity” department, apparently being unable to find the time to keep their collective eye on child protection and the social services, but they did manage to find the time to canvass Finola, so that proves their true grasp of humanity.Lydia Rivlin: Conservative candidate for Harringay

Does it cross any of these people's minds - Goldberg, Kober, Hinchcliffe - that descending into this crude, ethnic, rotten-borough politics is condescending to the Charedi community; as well as deeply divisive in the wider context of Tottenham and Haringey?
