Tags for Forum Posts: fences, rules about fences
BTW - I recently remembered that I over-ordered and still have one large size copy available.
Hi Hugh, not sure if you would automatically get a copy of my request to Joe W. And obviously you may just be too busy.
Hi , I appreciate this is a bit much for a 6 year old post but we live on the south side of Umfreville Road. Most of our neighbours seem to think they are responsible for the fence on the west of their back gardens. Except the neighbour on my east! Unfortunately there is no T marked on our deeds. Would it be too much of a pain to look at the ‘T’s on Umfreville Road and see if they follow the same pattern as on the picture of Allison Road that you posted?
Thanks
Richard
The rules I added as a note to the end of the original post on this thread hold good for Umfreville and the whole Ladder. All householders are responsible for fences on the Green Lanes or East side, I'm afraid. The only person responsible for any western boundary fence on the south side of Umfreville is the person to the east of the former bit of passage. That person is responsible for both east and west sides. For the avoidance of doubt, a map snippet is attached (west is up. The numbers are plot numbers, not house numbers).

I will try Hugh as well as it sounds like he has the same map.
Thanks
