Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Bit of a long shot, anyone happen to have a rotavator I could borrow for an hour or so?

Not sure if this is the kind of kid most folks near hear keep in the back of their shed or not...

I'm possibly interested in sharing hire for one - I need to sort my lawn out, but its not huge so I think it would be sorted in half a day if anyone else has another half day lawn

I am hopeing we will not need much more than an hour or two at most.

Betty. lets give it a day or two to see if anyone else needs one and I will get back in touch to see what we might sort out.

I have an ancient example of these machines which I have now restored to use.  It's been laid up for a couple of years but it is now working again.

Justin wishes to borrow it (at his own risk) after Easter.

Aaah brilliant - I might be in touch after Justin's had a go.  My lawn is currently just a depressing muddy square

I don't have one Justin but you could try asking for one on Freegle - ilovefreegle.org is a non-profit voluntary recycling/reuse organisation trying to stop good stuff going to landfill - There are over 370 branches UK wide, and more than 1.4 million members offering stuff they no longer want and/or getting stuff they do. It's absolutely free of charge and run entirely by over 1,000 dedicated unpaid volunteers across the UK. You can ask or offer just about anything so long as it's free and legal. There's a 'Find a Group' link on the website just plug in your area or postcode and it will bring up a list of groups in your area.  It's run on Yahoo Groups  since there's no regular funding. You'll find groups in Enfield, Hackney, Islington and many other area's. There are a few rules like 'No live animals' no Spam, Borrowing, Lending or Selling and no links to any other websites. The Freegle forum came online in 2009 and has won over 20 local and national Green Awards including being shortlisted for the Climate Week Awards last year won by the Isle of Wight. Lots more information on the main website.
