Hi Bill - The floor had a urethane coating so Bostik was applied to the wooden wheels to give grip on the bends. Plastic wheels dragged & were a lot slower. The Bostik wheels marked the floor so the speed skating moved next door to The Palm Court on a smooth asphalt track.
