Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I have my daughter with me over Christmas and she is learning to drive. We have spent this afternoon up in the Noel Park area driving in circles around the roads (along with half the learner drivers in Haringey it seems).

As we graduate to more difficult and busy roads any thoughts as to where we can go to find roads that are a bit more open and quiet (if they exist?). Keen to get her skills and confidence up before I throw her to the lions of London's roads!

Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi Justin,

Having taught Phoebe over last year, I would suggest that you stick to driving the test centre routes. If she is not going to take test here then it does not really matter where you take her. I found the Gardens really useful for left and right turns and any manoeuvres but the roads are thin. Then there is muswell hill - off dukes avenue. Ultimately she will need to get into the london traffic thing so the north circular to edmonton is a winner.

Enjoy Dom

After getting the basics sorted out in Noel Park my driving instructor used to take me to this area.  A good mix of quieter road for practicing reversing around corners and turning in the road and busier ones to experience driving in traffic.
