Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Pop up Gardens

This is a new angle on "Guerilla Gardening" and reclaiming city streets.

Community groups "rent" public street space by paying for time at parking meters, and create instant pop up gardens in these city spaces for the period of time permitted on the meter.

PARK(ing) Day has now become an annual worldwide event in September and takes place in over 180 cities.
