Police arrest, then release, Haringey Councillors
TWO Haringey Councillors were arrested and released in connection with a demonstration in support of the ‘Defend Our Juries’ campaign.
The Councillors' action stands in contrast with the earlier suppression of any discussion about Gaza in council, by the current Haringey Council leader (i.e. by Kier Starmer's local New Labour representative).

The Police action stands in contrast to the apparent absence of action in an unrelated matter involving Haringey Councillor(s) and/or a council employee. i.e. the fraud alleged in at least one property deal.
Over a 36-month period, Haringey Council lost at least £10,000,000 in irregular transactions. Plural.
In 2022, council leader Peray Ahmet belatedly but properly, agreed to an external investigation.
That led—a year later—to the [pre-redacted] Buss Report.
More than one Councillor volunteered to be interviewed.
The Council Chief Executive confirmed that the "full" version of the Buss Report was sent to the Met Police.
However—more than a year ago—the Ham & High reported that the Police investigation was still "ongoing".
One has to wonder how the Police investigation is going. In contrast with their arrests of Haringey Councillors at the top, there is no news of any charge or arrest relating to any Haringey Council property deal.

Simon, have you not heard of the presumption of innocence?
Have you read nothing about the Chartists; the Suffragettes? Consciencious Objectors and many others?
Plainly too, I must apologise for not being clear enough. Allegations of financial abuses by people in public office have nothing to do with objecting to Genocide. And with trying to stop war crimes.

Presumption of innocence, Chartists, Suffragettes, etc have nothing to do with this, so please dispense with the gaslighting and ridiculous equivocation. There was a violent radical side to the suffragettes but the movement was not founded in hatred, anti-Semitism and a desire to mass murder ("from the river to the sea").
These two Marxist-Islamist councillors under the guise of some sort of right to a jury trial related protest somehow managed to make it about Gaza and support for a terrorist organisation and were arrested. We know that even if convicted of a crime these two Marxist-Islamist councillors won't resign.
The only thing worth observing here is how Alan Stanton KC et al see what those two are doing as noble, why it's akin to suffragettes, free speech and [insert righteous cause here], versus....
....when Tommy Robinson and/or any of million fed up citizens sick of being second class in their own country or someone posts on Twitter sharing their views and any and all of them are arrested and jailed, they think that's just great.
You all should, as I am, be outraged and upset that anyone be jailed for exercising free speech and peaceful protest (assuming it was peaceful protest in this instance), be it moronic harridan Marxist-Islamist councillors supporting Jew hatred or Tommy Robinson supporting civil liberties. The fact that you are only indignant when it's Marxist-Islamists who are arrested but celebrate when it's someone you view to be on the "far right", just means you are run of the mill political hacks.

The Free Palestine movement and Palestine Action is not anti semitic. The ones doing the mass murder at the moment is the Israeli government.

Invoking Tommy Robinson on your side is a desperate action. see above "Tommy Robinson supporting civil liberties."
Yaxley Lennon AKA Tommy-ten-names is not only guilty of libel against a child (100,000 pound fine and jail), he was guilty of stalking and harassment of a woman (5 year desist notice), guilty of contempt of court, guilty of mortgage fraud, non payment of tax, additional non payment of tax on businesses in various aliases, guilty of assaulting a police officer, guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm, further assault, public order offences linked to football hooliganism that he organised, entering the USA on a false passport, trying to enter Canada on a passport with false information, guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and on and on. I've left some out but you get the idea of his "support for civil liberties".
On the other hand he is a proud Zionist, and active supporter of the IDF and Netanyahu. He was in the far right BNP which folded and then led the EDL English Defence League which he renamed the English and Jewish Defence League, it folded when he started taking lessons in Islam. He has resurrected again as an English patriot but travels on an Irish passport and lives in Spain.

That local councillors in Haringey want to play at international antisemitism despite the dumpster fire that is their borough, should worry us, not that sometimes they get arrested. Some boroughs are arresting 30 people a day for social media posts - this is not news. The news is that they think that a passing interest in the omnicause absolves them of any responsibility to the people that elected them.

Do you have any feelings towards those being killed in Gaza, including children or those being hounded out of their homes and villages in the West Bank.

Not anti semitism. Large numbers of those protesting and volunteering for arrest for supporting Palestine Action are Jews or are Jewish organisations or Israeli organisations.
