Local pet owners gathered for the annual Pet Blessing Service at Hornsey Church Tower on Sunday.
The first Pet Service at the Hornsey Church Tower Open Day was held at the 2013 Open Day and has been repeated yearly by Fr Bruce Batstone ever since.
Amongst the assembled pets there was an African hedgehog
and a splendid snake.
Fr Bruce's own little dog was amongst the family pets that were blessed.
Hornsey Church Tower (click on link for photos) is an absolute gem and well worth a trip to the top. The next Open Day is on Sunday 18th September 2-5 as part of London Open House Weekend.
They also have their own website, HornseyTower.com, where you can find out more about future events and the history of the tower.
Thanks to Friends of Hornsey Tower for allowing me to re-publish these photos from their Twitter stream onto HOL.

And to continue the history, 'A Bellringer's Guide to the Church Bells of Britain' [R H Dove] 1968 records that:
"The heavy six in the detached tower, the sole remains of the old church at Hornsey, London has been sold, part of the metal being used in the new ring at St George's in the East."
