Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The screw on one side of my glasses has fallen out and got lost - is it possible to 'walk-in' to Specsavers or other opticians for a repair? The only online appointments I can find are for eye tests, which I don't want.

the specsavers in sainsbury's has people in it - i'm sure if you turned up and asked nicely they'd help. i'm not sure if any other opticians are open at the moment

I have some spare screws for glasses Maddie, I'm up the road - 64.

Thanks Gordon,

I popped into the local Specsavers and they fixed it on the spot - and I was permitted to jump the queue at Sainsbury's ;)

Most £1 Shops sell kits with replacement screws

Happened to me.  The frames has actually fractured.  I rang Boots and they asked me to post the glasses to them.  Frames replaced with new and posted back in one week.  No charge.

Good to see that you got it sorted.

Normally I have found that opticians will replace screws and the plastic nose pads for free. Of course people have to ask nicely. And please don't hold me to it if you come across the one's that don't do this.

Hi.....Spec savers Wood Green should be able to do this. I had an appt ther nearly 2 weeks ago and the door was open, people were just wandering in.  The staff were well masked up and very helpful.   Sue
