Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our good friend Justin Hinchcliffe, Tottenham Tory chair and self-styled 'Mr Tottenham', wrote to voters in Hornsey+Wood Green encouraging them to tactically vote LibDem.  As the Tories are so poor, the letter was actually printed and published by the local LibDems.

Sadly Comrade Justin's sterling work for his party was not appreciated and he has been suspended by the party's national chairman.

Twitter is aflame.

Sorry if this is old news on HoL, I've only just caught up with it. The idea of a rootless Justin is slightly worrying.

File under 'chat'.

Ha!
Out In all honesty, and although I despise the Tory party, I feel sorry for Justin. He has been an incredibly hard working and loyal activists for the party on an area that will never have a Tory majority. When you compare that to the Grant Shapps sleaze they are booting out the wrong person.

Agreed - he does want to see a better world. Just chose the party that's doing the reverse.

But anyone who wants to 'get on' in politics finds out PDQ that it's all a dirty game. Claire Short said that if she had a daughter she would tell her never to get into party politics as it's so personally destructive.  So I guess Justin took a calculated risk here.

People are being very kind to Justin. Nobody who wants to see a better world joins the Tory Party....unless by a better world you mean one in which all our public assets are handed over to the private sector to line their pockets, while the welfare state is torn asunder. If Justin has any power you may be sure that's what he would doing...

Haha classic!

But I would tell Tottenham constituency voters that there are other alternatives to our waste of space Labour candidate David Lammy though.

I have voted Labour in every parliamentry election since moving to London. I refuse to vote for this candidate again! He takes my Tottenham vote for granted.
Here's the predicament. Vote for a mediocre MP already campaigning for Mayor by voting tactically...or vote with the heart.

And I ain't the only one.

But I won't be 'had' again. Both, the local candidate has to go and Labour has to change before I vote for them again. We need a change to a first preference system to break the stranglehold of 'opinion-poll-response' major political parties.

Ask yourself...Is Labour really proposing any thing/policy that will really change the dynamic? Indeed look at what's happening in a borough like Haringey where they command a vast majority and could do things differently for those who need it most.

So why take the risk of not voting for them. If enough people follow their heart we may just get someone new. If not we'll end up with the right in power anyway (albeit leftie ones i.e. Labour), so it's worth the risk.
Couldn't agree more.
Large scale building of council houses to tackle the housing crisis
5 year leases for tenants for starters
End right to buy
NHS fully back in public control
Likewise British Rail
Scrap Trident and HS2
Tax hipster beards(just kidding)
All Green policies none Labour
If it's a deterrent we plan to never use then I've never quite understood why we just don't have papier mâché pretend ones and spend the money on something useful.

Sshh. They are  pretend.  The Government needed the money for handouts to banks.

Which show is that Osbawn?  The 'Let's invade another country show'?

It's time for the country to take a large reality check, live within it's means and stop pretending to be some cheap rate USA.
