Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Obama's Harringay Flyby

Not sure how many of you have spotted the helicopters buzzing around over the last few days but Obama is in town, and he flew from Stansted to the US Embassy last night at about 10pm, flying over Harringay. Apparently he heard Green Lanes was choked up and a cab would take ages.

I saw three helicopters fly over, including Marine 1 (which I also saw fly over again today), an electronic countermeasures helicopter and the most weird looking helicopter you are likely to see, the marine Osprey (which I also saw flying over the other day during the day but I have only just realised why). Actually, the Osprey has just flown over a few second ago, buzzing the North Ladder, I guess seeing how far backed up the traffic is into Hornsey.

Bring back the olden days when all the Pres needed was a couple of blokes in shades and bulging armpits. None of this electrical faffing.

Ahr, you cynic. The Osprey is going great loops around North Harringay, Crouch End, Fins Park, across the Gardens and heading out to SoTo and back again at the moment. Enjoy the air show in the knowledge that for once it is not your paying for it!
