Car drives into people in Charlottesville - Jeff Sessions already has said it meets the (federal) definition of 'domestic terrorism'. Not that I personally care on what basis the guy is put into jail and hopefully even gets capital punishment, but I like facts to be as reasonable as can be known given our source is the media.Mostly though, as the knee jerk liberal statements attest, it does make me sad to have to admit the successful job the Democrat party has done of whitewashing its own history of slavery, Trail of Tears, KKK, Jim Crow, Poll Tax, Literacy Tests, voting against the Civil Rights Act 1965.....

Knavel, the President of the entire country could not bring himself to say that and, only a few hours ago, 48 hours after the event, read an autocued speech on TV where he finally condemned the actions of neo-nazis and white supremacists. The pictures from Charlottesville showed these men (and they were nearly all men) proudly wearing semi-automatic rifles, shouting Seig Heil and using foul anti Semitic language.
Why did Trump not call them out for what the were immediately after one person was murdered and many others seriously injured by a car deliberately driven at them? A car driven by a man who was pictured with his nazi friends at the rally? Why did it take a script writer to do that for him? Who is he going to sack this time to deflect any blame away from himself?
Yes, the Democrats have a shameful history, as all American political parties do, on how they reacted to the clamour for equality and civil rights, but today is 2017 and this happened just two days ago. The man is a disgrace and how anyone can defend him defies belief.
