This from the LCSP guys:
"As you may recall from reading the minutes of our last meeting, there has been an increase in thefts from motor vehicles both in Harringay and across the borough. One increasingly common theft is of a vehicle’s catalytic converter. These are then sold on (via dodgy scrap metal dealers) for anything up to £100. We are aware of a number of such thefts in our area in the past couple of weeks: VWs seem to be a favourite target.
The solution is to buy a Cat-Clamp – a catalytic converter lock – which will potentially save you a very hefty bill for a damaged exhaust system, and a lot of inconvenience. Details of the clamp are attached."
I know there was a warning about this recently on HoL, but anyone got any thoughts- and why VWs?

See this thread.
Observed the same on Arena Design Centre some time back, before we hot gates, suspect VW have a great customer base for easy sale.
I thought they sold them for scrap, not second hand...
Ah..... in that case I'd suggest something like access/speed of removal or somesuch.
