Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

So twice recently I have caught OnTime parking trucks, on their way back to their depot in Mary Neuner Rd, about to use either Lausanne Rd or Raleigh Rd as a short cut.

Ontime parking, trying it on

Ontime parking, still trying it on

Haringey OnTime parking truck taking a shortcut

This is AFTER I have been promised by the Head of parking that they won't do it.

Check out what people in Camden get when they have a problem with trucks rat running their road.

Notice that in this old photo the weight restriction is 7.2t. Recently I saw that it had been reduced to 5t. The width restrictions have been there as long as I can remember.

This is what I want for Willoughby Rd which would solve the West Green Rd -> Turnpike Lane problem. BUT if we just put a couple at each end of Wightman Rd it would solve problem for everybody. Anyone genuinely needing access in a large vehicle would still be able to go up/down a Ladder Rd from Green Lanes but not exit or enter Wightman.

Been through that width barrier thingy a number of times. It'll take the wing mirrors off your car if you're not careful. There's another example closer to home; Woodlands Park Rd
I see those six-foot wide barriers as a test of my driving skill. Yeeee-haaaa.
A colleague is very frustrated that he can't fit his Ferrari through them. Well, he can't afford to try.
Tell him Ferraris are just so yesterday. He needs to consider a Bugatti Veyron;

I mentioned installing these on all our roads by the raised humps where the passage way crossed the road as it is the only thing that really stops anyone taking these things at speed. If it has the double benefit of stoppng truck racing up and down then all the better!

Let me know where I sign the petition.
Justin, convince me that a petition, and I'm sure we'd all just love rising bollards while we're at it, is not just the most nimby ridiculous thing I can do and I'll do it.

I don't want to have to mention in every subsequent post on HoL that the new rising bollards our petition got installed have saved lives. I stretch the truth enough as it is.
