The latest weekly planning applications list includes an application relating to the shop next door to Muna's. The owner is seeking permission to erect three flagpoles. I'm guessing that he's not after flying the Jack - or even if that were the case, what would the nest buyer fly there?
Surely the application for the poles falls into the "having a laugh" category? They're level with the rooftops!! And you've got to love the fact that the applicant has put his address down as "Edmonton Green Shopping Centre". What, all of it? Still, good to see it's not going to be another cafe or bookies.
I haven't an objection to this proposal as it seems to be just a regular shop sign. Although most of the signs in Harringay should not have been given approval for crimes against colour, image and font use.
I have registered an objection for the flag poles as they are taking the pi$$.
A small note having just read some of the comments, if you register and objection you need to click on the objection option as it may only appear as a general comment rather than a objection.
Bad news. I got a letter today saying that permission has been granted for this. Presume all who objected got the same.
Nothing in it about the flag-poles but presume they have the go-ahead as part of this. Bloody ridiculous; what next? Was about to post some stupid suggestions but realised that they are all being done already ... (banners on railway bridge, from lampposts etc etc etc). Green Lanes is turning into one big advert.

No it looks ok. Just had a look at the report & decision. Looks like the applicants decided to ditch the flagpoles after our objections to save the rest of the application:
