The vintage mobile cinema used by Melvyn Bragg in his recent Reel History BBC TV series is coming to Harringay this winter for the Harringay Winter Festival.
The Vintage Mobile Cinema is a 22 seat movie theatre (complete with Dolby 7:1 surround sound for the full cinema experience). It was one of seven units custom built for the British government in the late 1960s, used at the time to promote British industry.
The cinema will be coming to town as just one of the attractions at next month's Harringay winter festival, by Rob Chau, the Harringay traders and other community groups. (Melvyn Bragg not included).
Alongside the mobile cinema on 10th & 11th December, Mattison Road will be playing host to an ice rink, Santa's grotto, family photo booth ans street stalls.

Brilliant. We are looking forward to the festival!
Why is this not being done in the gardens where it is (according to you) much easier and cheaper to close the roads?
Erm...I think they need a large playground like area for the ice rink?
