Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Some intriguing images here, combining old photos into a current setting. Wanna try this with some of those local archive pics?

A few thoughts arise - the value of real physical prints - will those old jpegs inspire similar work? Of course it can be done with a couple of Photoshop layers but that's not the point. 

I reckon this could be a very disturbing exercise esp. with the people pics.

It reminds me of that substance, Slow Glass - from a 1967 short story by Bob Shaw, which has always stuck in my memory.

A few years ago I recall a website where you could drag a line like moving a curtain between past and present. I think it was in somewhere like Prague?

Flickr member "Roll the Dice" has a fascinating collection of old/new shots at the same London locations.
