Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

Myself and my boyfriend are looking to purchase a 2 bedroom flat with a garden in Haringey. We know that there is little on the market currently ... so we're reaching out to the local community to let us know if you know anyone selling something that might be suitable.

We have both lived in the area for a long time (myself 5 years and my boyfriend 3 years) and would love to stay around Harringay, but with the cost of houses here, we're expanding our search to the surrounding areas of woodgreen, hornsey, tottenham etc.

We did find a wonderful flat and had our offer accepted - but they then decided that they wanted the asking price so back out :(

Please let me know if you know anyone who is looking to sell their property - we are looking up to £270,000 as the complete maximum)

Thanks

Natalie

I've got nothing up my sleaze but I do suggest you also befriend one or two well placed estate agents. I would suggest Hobarts near ally pally would be one good one to get on their good side. If you're lucky you'll then get a call when a property that suits your needs hits their desk. Stay in contact once a week and try to put yourself in a position where you can buy quickly if need be and let the estate agent know this.

At the moment they are basically choosing who to work with because its a sellers market, if you come across as someone that might not make their life easy, you won't get the special heads ups.

Best of luck.
Have you looked at noel park in wood green? For £270k you'd probably get a 2 bed period house with a garden...
