The London Transport Film Archive is now online

The initial films offer a selection of time periods covering 1910 to 1970, including the classic British Transport Films 'All that mighty
heart', along with a lesser-known gem 'Our Canteens'.

The Piccadilly Line Extension film shows a little of our area 11min 43 sec into the film; Turnpike Lane etc. Just slide along the time bar at the bottom of the film. They leave so little room between the train and the top of the tunnel when building these tube lines.
