Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am not sure if anyone has posted on HoL about one of my neighbors on Pemberton, James, who runs a local brewer.

James runs the Beerblefish Brewing Company. He started with home brewing and is now up to 7,000 litre batches.

I had a 5l barrel over the weekend with friends and loved it.

I don't normally go out of my way to endorse folks on HoL, but if you like your craft beers but the barrel I had was great and I will be going back for more, so give it a go. I believe James is often at Stroud Green Farmer's Market.

We've picked up a few of their beers at the Stroud Green Market, very nice stuff, can definitely also recommend.

I am going to put a Beerblefish can of pale ale in my June Father's Day Tottenham Tiffin hampers. It's going to be my wider Haringey guest spot beer. Apparently it's delicious and definitely local!

Thanks Justin! James and I are at Stroud Green Market with the red Beerblefish gazebo on the last Sunday of the month, so we're looking forward to seeing folks on 27 June!

Curious that there's no mention of Babel fish (H2G2) on their website - or anything about the origins of the company -unless- you click on 'About Us', when the automatic thing to do would be to click on one of the drop-down menu options. UI design? Null points! That said, looking forward to trying the beer...

Hi Mark,

Very sorry you didn't like the UI that I designed, but I think null points is a bit harsh, especially given there is some info about us on the front page. Our market research from when I built the new website last year showed that most customers wanted to cut straight to the chase and see what beers we make and when and where they could get them up front, and not read a protracted history of the brewery first. Babel Fish isn't mentioned up front because that's not the origin of our name, but there are mentions in some of our blog posts and in relation to some of our beers.

I'd agree that it's best to cut straight to the beers but the UI for the "About Us" section is a bit strange. Hovering over it brings the drop down menu so you wouldn't think that you should actually click on About Us, just the items in the sub-menu. I'd move the bio into the sub-menu.
