Thanks all for the clarification, now I can use the 'community budget' funded crossing in the true spirit of the LGBT community, I shall though, only be using the blue strip. As there are possibly positive safety implications in these, could we have one on the North side of the Bounds Green junction where there is no pedestrian priority at all, and it is downright dangerous (even a black and white one will do, but with traversed stripes)?. I was told TFL are supposed to be reviewing it, but from experience of such bodies, they only prioratise statistically by the highest death count.
I’m sure the staff at Woodside High School have been relishing the 200+ abusive messages they have received on the issue.

The crossings are to mark LGBT history month. Something that happens every year but only seems to upset people when it involves paint.
