We have some friends who live on Wightman Road Road near the Greek Church backing onto the New River. The last few nights and day there has been a group of kids throwing rocks at them and their neighbours' windows. The other night someone was almost hit on the head by a rock 20cm in diameter this also nearly hit a window where their 1 year old is sleeping
Has anyone else seen these kids? There was apparently around 3-4 of them about 12 to13 age (approx) with bikes.
If anyone sees or hears something similar can they please report them so that something can be done - or failing that if they are your kids can you please send them home to bed??

I would guess that the rubble was put down to improve the surface for the many extra vehicles used during the recent tunnel cleaning project. They gained access by driving along the river bank from the Hampden Road end. Tunnel workers tended to bring their cars right along and park in the little yard by the foot-bridge. Heavier vehicles reversed along the entire distance (500m) see photo. This section of the bank has always been used in this way because Thames Water need to gather up water weed and flotsam every day and haul it away every week or so. Their vehicles are not so heavy but the river bank and the footpath became very muddy and slippery during rainy months just past.
