Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We're trying something different at St. Paul's, Harringay at 7pm this Saturday: Beer and Hymns.  It's become a bit of a Thing in some places, so we thought we'd jump on the bandwagon.

Beer. And hymns. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Come and join in our new, informal style of worship where we drink beer* and sing hymns. Nothing else. Well, maybe a prayer at the beginning and end, but that’s it. Just singing all our old favourites and some barnstorming new(ish) ones with refreshment available from the bar throughout.  There's even a chance I might play a few requests.

There will be beer from local(ish) brewers Redemption and newcomers Beerblefish, along with other pub-style delights like pickled eggs (yeah, I know, but apparently they're all the rage) and pork pies, and of course a great opportunity to get to know your neighbours before, during and after the singing.

St. Paul's, Harringay is the Church of England parish church for the Gardens and most of the Ladder.  It's the modern building that looks like it has a Toblerone on top, on the corner of Wightman and Cavendish Roads.  We'd love to see loads of our neighbours on Saturday!

Best wishes,

Bethany (Director of Music)

*Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks other than beer will be available too! Free admission. Cash bar, the proceeds of which go towards church funds.
