Just been out to buy a few things, and what a bloody mess Green Lanes is in!
I have reported it via the Haringey Ap, and sent pics to my one contact in Veolia, but it looks like a collection has been missed given the number of ripped open bags strewn everywhere and secondary dumping that is occurring.

If they break the contract like this isn't it null+void?
There should be penalty clauses for poor performance/.
On Wightman. our rubbish is normally collected on Wednesdays.
Not this week
I had a problem for the last few weeks Karen where out recycling and grey bins were not collected for several weeks on more than one occasion and the last time most of Pemberton was not collected from the look of it.
So, I contacted Ayer Ozil, Veolia's outreach manager and got the following response (I had been told by a Veolia operative they would *only* take bins if taken to the threshold of the property):
"- We do ask that Refuse and Recycling bins are placed by the edge of properties where possible, however if the bin is not presented we still aim to collect the bins which are accessible and do not pose any risk with health and safety such as steps or any unsafe surface.
- The Operations Manager has assured me that he will arrange for the recycling collection on Pemberton Road N4 to be monitored to ensure all the bins are collected as per schedule."
Ayer is a nice chap, his details are:

" Just wish we had some decent local councillors!!! "
We used to have
Thankfully the rubbish has now been cleared, but new bags are starting to pile up already in spots!
I have had problems over the past few weeks - first food waste going uncollected for three weeks in a row, then rubbish taken a day late, then this week the green recycling was a day late. Feels like the system is going to pot.
I got a response on this by the way. Apparently it was deliberate, enjoy!
"I have discussed the issue of bags of waste being left uncollected on Green Lanes with the Operations Manager and I have been informed that the reason for the bags being left on Green Lanes was due to a scheduled leave down of waste.
The leave downs are scheduled by Haringey Council and are conducted to try to find any illegal waste being deposited by traders or residents along a stretch of road.
I have received confirmation that the waste was removed after investigation was carried out by both Haringey Council and Veolia."
