Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This normally reliable political website is spouting absolute nonsense:

"Despite their wipe out on Haringey council there remains a surprisingly active local Conservative association and some pockets of relative Tory strength such as White Hart Lane and Haringay, but overall this is solid Labour territory."

In 2006 in Harringay, the Conservatives came a distant fourth, polling a total of 502 votes. Greens 1027, Lab 3346 and Lib Dems 3542.

But that was before Tim arrived on Wightman Road.
do you honestly think they will avoid the wooden spoon again?
I remember there was a bit of a Tory upsurge around White Hart Lane in the 1980s. I think they did have councillors there. Not Harringay I don't think.
I'm sure Justin will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Harringay has been a Tory stronghold since 1934 when Edith Summerskill took the seat from them for Labour
Haringey however was strongly Conservative in 1968 to 1971 so we may have had Conservative cllrs here at that time. Maybe some of the Harringay alumni will remember
