How is this acceptable Haringey???? Air pollution Saturday evening
Saturday was a disgrace with toxic cooking emissions reaching very dangerous levels all evening. These levels are dangerous to humans health. If you believe enough is enough, consider reaching out to the council and our MP to demand protection.

Time for our new Green councillors to step up and figure out a plan. Anna's plan seemed like a good start.
My advice to them would be to meet with the Harringay Traders and explain public concern, and come up with a plan that recognises restaurants that commit to invest in the latest emissions cleaning technology.

THE inability to "deliver change" is not confined to those elected to govern.
Is not the (continuing) risk, that new Councillors will be guided by council employees, AKA "officers" ?
It seems a pity that the only time that such public health issues can be raised with a chance of gaining attention (never mind action), is in the run-up to an election.

That's not fair Clive.
I first asked about the emissions from restaurants in 2019. But as you know, sometimes it is very difficult to get things moving, and that has been the case in this issue.
Not an excuse - just a factual observation. It wasn't that Anna and I didn't work hard, try or challenge.
But now there are new councillors who can take this up.
