When the Twentieth Century Society came to visit, the members agreed it was amazing. It won awards when it was first built. These days it’s a bit frayed around the edges, but still has all its original features. Hardly used for 15 years it’s now opening its doors to the public with a community project, Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre.
This is a fantastic chance to see the hidden treasures of 1930s modernism, and discover the history of Hornsey’s iconic HQ and Assembly Room. For this tour, you'll need to buy tickets in advance and you can get these at http://www.hthartscentre.co.uk/eventscalendar/
