Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Help - bath flooded
My son has just over-filled the bath and water is pouring down the pendant light fitment in the kitchen below. I've turned off the light switch of course, but how will I know when it's dry enough to be safe?

Unscrewing the cover of the fitment will help it dry out quicker. Best to take out the lighting circuit fuse beforehand, just for safety (we found we had a fitment where there was still power going to it even after the light switch was turned off, the electrician called it a 'switched neutral'. Now fixed).

Yes I've done all that now - I'll have to leave it a while to dry but hopefully it will be OK.

We've done this so many times it's embarrassing....always works again within 24 hours...I wouldn't worry about it too much

Actually it wasn't the first time here either, but this was a particularly wet one!

On the plus side he was attempting to have a bath. Getting my lad into the shower is like getting blood out of a stone at times. I am sure he is allergic to water.
Hope there is no perminent damage.
