Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Hate speech outside Seven Sisters tube station?
Hi everybody,
Don't know if this has been flagged up already, and not quite on the patch of Harringay Online, but I did find this rather depressing... there were three 'preachers' outside Seven Sisters tube station with a loudhailer yesterday and they were saying something like, 'What is wrong with Tottenham that we allow faggots and effeminate men on our streets...'
I mean, jeesh, it's 2022, guys! Or is there some neanderthal moron revival going on?!
As it happened, I passed by a few hours later, and they were still there, this time being quite threatening to someone they were accusing of laughing at them.
Be interested to hear if anything has been done about this. If I see it again I'll report it myself. I'm not a very political guy these days, but it does seem shocking that this should be alllowed to happen..

Please film them if you can. I'll see what I can do.
Or make written notes with quotes, this is also evidence if you are prepared to testify.
We have a local PC who is first line of response for complaints like these, I'll look them up.

Thank you for your advice. The problems could be that these are really quite aggressive men, and with it being such a busy noisy street it might be difficult to get close to record them. But if I see them again I will contact you.

Please do report such things to the police.
I'm not saying this applies to you Tim, but whoever's reading this in case you see hate coming from minority communities, please don't let the fear of looking racist stop you from reporting outright hate...

You're right to say this, Shariq. All over Haringey you'll see Labour councillors and their comrades banging on about how they oppose extremism and 'fascists'. The high streets are littered with 'Antifa' and other stickers declaring the area a 'fascist' free zone and sprouting their support for people of different races, classes and sex related identities. Yet when this sort if thing happens in plain sight nothing is done. It seems only white fascism is unacceptable. Either that or they're just intimidated by a trio of bearded thugs.
