Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Today Chris Barker of Living Streets led an audit of the Harringay Passage. Joining Chris were Adam Coffman, Michael Anderson, LIz Ixer and myself.

This 90 second video gives a brief overview, pending a short report due to be produced over the next couple of weeks.

Nice idea.

I walked along the passage from Hewitt to Umfreville today and noticed that at the Warham Road crossing there is no sign saying it is Warham. I seem to remember that there is at least one other street north of Hewitt that lacks a sign at the crossing. I expect you noticed these things already but I thought I would mention it.

Well done all and thank you!  Let's hope the council take on board the concerns raised, especially the safety aspects.

Aha, so that's what you were all up to when I bumped into you yesterday!

We were actually looking for an earing I lost last Tuesday. Two bloody hours and no sign of diamanté.

Great and many thanks but, er, does the council take note of anything we say? Thus far it appears not.

I think not, but thumbs up for your effort.  I love having the passage but would love to see less dog poo and decent fencing for the houses along the passage so that the horrible broken glass on walls etc could be removed.

Thanks guys for your efforts

Definitely more planters at the junctions would be nice if there is the community willing to maintain them. Lovely job with the ones on Warham Road - they really do change the atmosphere for the better.

There's always the dog poo issue

though it does seem to be a lot better than a couple of years ago.

I agree about the safety issues and signage.

What about some murals along some of the bare walls in the passage to jolly things up a bit more?! (assuming the owners of the walls would be willing).

Nemone - Seymour Road

These all all fantastic ideas. Yes, getting Haringey to take action is the hard bit but we can now start the debate. I think whatever comes out of this needs to be subject to the priorities locals have ( I like murals)
