Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

If you're on Twitter (and even if you're not) you may have caught the video of Ladder resident Hugh Carter skiing down Hewitt Road. It went viral and Hugh received a number of requests from UK and European news outlets to use his video.

One of my neighbours took these two great photos when it was was in plein-neige, so to speak - which I reproduce with her permission. The first is of Hewitt Road. The second, I assume, needs no introduction. They're both really atmospheric snaps that really do the job for me.

Then the final handful are from a walk I took along the New River, yesterday morning.

And another from Harringay tweeter, @Joey_manic

Some of my favourite street trees in the snow - Christmas Card pretty

Meanwhile in Crouch End...

We have been breaking the ice at west reservoir. Although it was bit cooler yesterday at 1.8.c. Absolutely gorgeous, and credit to the wonderful team there, breaking up the ice so we could get in, and keeping us safe

Brrrrrr!

Absolutely wonderful pics !   The final one of The Salisbury might make a lovely " Greetings from Harringay" Christmas card.   Reminds me so much of my youthful winters at home in Harringay, 1950 - 70.  Lovely.
