hi Sarah this is spot on. the job's not being done properly. And for me, as a taxpayer to the council, they are responsible. Leaving bags out on the pavement or for more than week results in exactly what you say.
Just curious, does anyone know which parts of the borough appear to be most affected by this?
Tottenham has to be right up there. It's crazy how much stuff gets dumped around here.
Came across two large bags of rotting bones the other day who does that?!
That sounds like a deeply unpleasant discovery... hopefully not human bones... :-/
A lot of councils appear to be overcharging for large item collection e.g. £57 in Barnet or £36 in Enfield for something like a mattress. I'm sure the last time I bought a mattress from John Lewis they offered to collect the old one for £25?
Baffling why Haringey would have 25% more flytipping incidents than Manchester which has twice our population? http://www.itv.com/news/2017-02-13/grot-spot-britain-worst-fly-tipp...
Not sure if anyone noticed, but the Our Haringey iOS app has just been updated after 3 years. Now with the new council branding and hopefully more stable. (I know the alternative was to use the native LoveClean Streets app).
The app is great for reporting, I use it many days on my commute.
