I don't know if anyone else is struggling with Haringey Council's website re. obtaining visitor parking permits? I have tried to buy these about ten times (I get to the 'pay here' link) but it seems to be continuously 'down' - and it's not convenient for me at the moment to visit the council offices. Any clues about how to reach them?! I have filled in the 'contact us' online several times now and they point me back to their 'how to' videos!

The payment site ONLY works in Microsoft Edge Browser...
Yeah, I know.
As long as you *always* use ME to sign up to the payment site and to use any vouchers in the future, it'll work fine (least, it has for me since I discovered this). And yes, I had the same issue - could never access the separate payment system and couldn't even sign up for it let alone sign in!)
Sharon: thanks for this tip - although I just end up with the following message (aargh!).
I got this message when I'd misunderstood the ordering limits and had tried to order 9x daily at the same time as 9x hourly. It's 9 maximum of any type. And I don't agree it only works in ME, I use Chrome on a macbook and it's fine. It does seem to have moments where it does't let you buy anything and it has infuriatingly unhelpful error messages but I have to grudgingly admit it mostly works fine for me (and I've bought at least 40 vouchers from it since it launched)
Hi Donna, Eureka. A million thanks for this guidance - which, I don't think, isn't given on the website? I had been trying to order 9 daily and 9 hourly visitor permits. Now done separately successfully - after several days of trying!! Huge thanks again!!
There's a problem big enough that the main Parking page on Haringey's website today has this message/admission/apology at the top:
Extract: The Council would like to apologise to anyone who has experienced problems activating online visitor parking permits or carrying out other online transactions on Thursday 13 January 2022.
The parking permit service is now working.
In the unlikely event of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued to you on Thursday 13 January 2022 you should contact the Council online or write to the address provided on the reverse side of the PCN.

Thanks Gordon. My problem was more mundane. It seems there is a limit of nine for any kind of permit - and I had been trying to order 9 daily and 9 hourly. Lovely HoL member, Donna, has pointed me in the right direction and I have now successfully ordered the permits - after many days of trying!! Hooray!
Great, and that's useful information for the rest of us.
That error message you grabbed Gordon is at least a helpful reassurance that it's not always us!
Hi there;
Contact Cllr seema.chandwani@haringey.gov.uk.
She is the go to person for parking issues.
Regards,
James Cowling
Having tried three times to activate visitor's parking voucher and each time got an 'Error' message just at the point of completing the transaction, I submitted a complaint. The 'Corporate Feedback Team' are now investigating it, though it may take them ten days to do.
I have ended up asking for paper vouchers as my carer comes daily and I am housebound. However I was expected to provide various proofs of identity and address which I could not do as I am unable to use my device to make copies etc.In the end I have sent proof of PEP, and the department is now in Sheffield! So I am left extremely anxious as to what will happen.
Hello Everyone
I have had several emails from residents about the permit issues and have followed up with parking to get a resolution. Please do contact me directly if things aren't working . I will raise the systemic issues which keep coming up, and will try to get your individual problems resolved.
You can email me at: zena.brabazon@haringey.gov.uk. My councillor surgery is the second Saturday of very month at the Turkish Community Care Association, 628 Green Lanes (opposite Falkland Road).
I will be there next Saturday, 11am.
